Ecuador's Flowering Plants – Blooming Beauty Beyond Belief

February 2 – 9th, 2008

UPDATE FEBRUARY 19th, 2008

Our tour for 2008 was sold out, so we are planning another for 2009.

If you are interested, please send me an email donna@icangarden.com  We are changing it a bit to include more so watch for it soon!
This tour is closed … we are so looking forward to our tour to this area of the world.

This was the tour for 2008…

It’s rare that exclusive flower growers outside the USA will even allow strangers onto their plantations, and it’s even rarer still that they will show you blooms and blossoms in development and produced for the mass market. Now, you can get an insider’s look at the flower industry, from the ground up, with this exclusive tour from our tour partner EcuadorTraveler.com. Peter Lauffer, Owner and General Manager and I have put together what I think will be a truly educational and knowledge filled experience, with of course culture and history thrown in to round out this beautiful tour to the tropics.

One of the highlights of the tour offers a visit to one of the world’s leading Rose plantations, near Quito. See the vast differences in rose types and the extensive range of varieties and types of colors available. See roses in all sizes which you’ve probably never viewed. You will also visit South America’s largest Orchid plantation in Cuenca, and a true plantation-- Ecuador’s largest producer of tropical flowers, outside of Guayaquil. This Eight Day, Seven Night tour includes Four or Five Star Hotel accommodations, a variety of local meals—some at Haciendas in the area—and, of course, the opportunity to purchase local handicrafts and visit with the artisans at work.
