TORONTO, January 2005 - As Valentine's Day approaches, The Fairmont Royal York is brewing a Love Potion 1929 for couples longing for the passionate embrace of the romantic holiday. For those already ensnared in love's web, the hotel provides the opportunity to Suite'n Your Love. Both package offerings - Love Potion 1929 and the weekend package Suite'n Your Love - are available beginning February 1, 2005 through to February 28, 2005.

Love Potion 1929
The Love Potion 1929 package, a concoction of accommodation, libation and love, will allow guests to succumb to Cupid's arrow. Couples are invited to enjoy overnight accommodation in the landmark hotel, long revered as a destination for romance. In celebration of the hotel's 75 years of serving amorous couples, guests may savor The Fairmont Royal York 75th Anniversary Château des Charmes brut or a classic martini. To prolong the pleasure of the Love Potion 1929 package, the inseparable pair can enjoy a cozy continental breakfast for two in bed and experience the luxury of a late check-out.

The Love Potion 1929 package is available daily from February 1 through to February 28, 2005 and is priced at $239 CAD (approximately $199 USD), exclusive of taxes, based on double occupancy and includes:

Suite'n Your Love
The Suite'n Your Love package takes another intimate approach to this romantic celebration. Rather than allowing a busy schedule to interfere with the enjoyment of Valentine's Day, hotel guests may begin their evening on their own time with In-room Dining and luxury accommodations in a Deluxe suite d'amour. Intimacy and sensuality are linked in this setting as guests fall victim to the culinary trappings that only the kitchens of The Fairmont Royal York can provide. The three course in-room dining experience includes: an ever vivacious Quebec foie gras and dried fruit chutney, a passionate embrace of Albert beef tenderloin with horse radish-merlot jus and a sweet Valentine temptation.

Guests are encouraged to finish up their night by enjoying sinful nibbles of Royal York specialty chocolates. Fully ensnared in love's cocoon, guests emerge the next morning replenished to make their way for a grand style buffet brunch in EPIC, The Fairmont Royal York's signature restaurant.

Valentine's Dining Options
If couples simply crave passionate food play, The Fairmont Royal York offers several, but equally succulent, dinner options for Valentine's.

In EPIC on Friday February 11, Sunday, February 13 and Monday, February 14, enjoy the Valentine's Dinner, a four-course meal priced at $95.00 per person (taxes and gratuity not included). The EPIC à la Carte menu will also be available to patrons.

On Saturday, February 12, guests can enjoy the Valentine's Early Dinner, a four-course meal priced at $95.00 per person (taxes and gratuity not included), with seating times at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. For those yearning for a late dinner, EPIC also provides a six-course meal, priced at $125.00 per person, with staggered seating times beginning at 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Among the various tastes to tease and titillate the palate, both dinners include the sumptuous Quebec Foie Gras Terrine; the delectable Nori Seaweed Crusted Atlantic Salmon; tender Alberta Veal Tenderloin and the Valentine's Inspired Sweet Platter, a surprise for the sweet tooth. A vegetarian menu is also available for both dinners.

On Sunday, February 13, patrons can enjoy a romantic Sunday Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. priced at $49.00 per person.

For a romantic afternoon tête-à-tête, EPIC offers the Royal Valentine's Afternoon Tea service from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning on February 11 through to February 14.

EPIC and the Library Bar will also offer Moet & Chandon Champagne, rosé and brut by the flute, for the entire month of February.

In Benihana on Friday, February 11, Sunday, February 13, and Monday, February 14, guests can enjoy a sizzling Teppan five-course dinner, priced at $68.00 per person. On Saturday, February 12, couples can indulge in this five-course Valentine's dinner for $79.00 per person. To capture the romantic evening, photographs will be taken for couples to bring home and cherish.
